Restaurants and Activities

There are a lot of fantastic local chefs. The places listed below are some of the more well known places and a couple favorites thrown in as well. Reservations are always a good idea.
Wild Ginger is one of Seattle’s original Asian Fusion restaurants. Wild Ginger
Tom Douglas has 5 different restaurants, each with their own personality and all of them fantastic. Tom Douglas
Matt’s in the Market, Steelhead Diner, and Pike Brewing are all right in the heart of the Pike Place Market. They are definitely worth the walk down there.
Elliot’s Oyster House is known for their oysters, but also has a great seafood selection and is located right on the waterfront. Elliot Oyster House
The next three are located just north of the Research Insitute in the South Lake Union neighborhood. Tutta Bella and Sea Star are in the
same complext as the Pan Pacific Hotel.
If you have some extra time the attractions below are some Seattle favorites and worth checking out.
Pike Place Market – If you haven’t been then this is a must. Great vendors, lots of good food and beautiful views of Elliot Bay. You can check out the original Starbucks while you’re there.
The underground tour is located in Pioneer Square, one of Seattle’s oldest neighborhoods. Check out the city below the streets and learn something new. Interesting history and funny staff. 
The Space Needle is THE Seattle landmark. Built for the 1962 world’s fair it has great 360 degrees views of the city and a rotating restaurant.
Ride the Ducks of Seattle is a great way to see downtown and some of the surrounding neighborhoods and take a quick boat ride in Lake Union. Check out the stadiums, Pioneer Square, Downtown, views of the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges and see the houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle.
The Seattle art museum is a collection of 2 museums and an outdoor sculpture park.
